Hey there, and thanks for swinging by my page!
I’m Greg—a 45-year-old single dad, part-time superhero to my amazing son, and now full-time guardian to my niece and nephew since we tragically lost my sister in December. Life’s been throwing me curveballs, and let me tell you, it’s quite a plot twist!
In 2019, I got hit with some unwelcome news—stage 5 kidney failure. Talk about a bad Yelp review for my kidneys! Since then, I’ve been navigating the wild world of dialysis while working as a nurse. But life had another twist up its sleeve: I lost both of my legs due to complications from kidney failure. Tough break, right? But hey, I’m not here to throw a pity party—I’m here to find a kidney and stick around for the people I love.
Here’s the good news:
I finally found a transplant center in Chicago that believes they can give me a new lease on life. They’ve figured out where they can fit a kidney (after a little aortic-femoral bypass magic). The challenge? Because I’m in Florida and they’re in Chicago, I can’t be listed for a deceased donor—getting there in time is a no-go. So, I’m looking for a living donor superhero, aka YOU (or someone you know who has a kidney to spare).
Here’s the scoop:
I’m a type O blood type, but thanks to paired donation programs, anyone with any blood type can potentially help. If you’re healthy and willing, you could quite literally save my life. Or if donating isn’t your jam, just sharing my story can make all the difference.
So, what do you say?
Are you ready to “Share Your Spare” and help me keep being the dad, uncle, and all-around awesome guy my family needs? Together, we can make this happen—and I promise to pay it forward with all the dad jokes and gratitude you can handle.
Thanks for being here, for caring, and for making the world a little brighter.

Why Donate Funds?
The odds of me getting a kidney transplant increase dramatically if I can relocate to Chicago for a few months. Why Chicago? The transplant center there has told me that if I’m local, I’d be able to get a deceased donor kidney relatively quickly. This could be life-changing—not just for me, but for my family, who counts on me every day. But there’s one big hurdle: the cost of living in Chicago. I simply can’t afford the rent and the other expenses that come with relocating, especially while I’m unable to work.
That’s where you come in. By donating to this cause, you’re not just helping me move; you’re giving me a real shot at life. Your generosity could cover the cost of rent, transportation, and daily living expenses while I wait for that life-saving call. Every dollar gets me one step closer to a new kidney, a healthier future, and more time with my loved ones. I can’t do this alone, but together, we can make it happen.
